Boulder Soup Works aims to be as sustainable as possible in all facets of our business. Whether it's using Certified Humane® organic chicken base, organic produce and herbs, reusable and recyclable packaging, or the way we treat our employees and customers, we strive to do right by our planet and our customers. We are creating a responsible company and building something we hope will truly make a difference. We care and know you do too.
At Boulder Soup Works we put a lot thought into every ingredient in our soup. Because some of our soup varieties contain chicken base, and we care about how these chickens are treated throughout their life. Our chicken base is created from chickens that are Certified Humane® and organic. This means the chickens we use have been raised humanely and led happy, free-range lives.
We deeply believe that organic food is better for our bodies and our planet. Boulder Soup Works is committed to sourcing the highest quality organic ingredients for all of our soup. Learn more about organic foods at www.organicconsumers.org or www.ota.com.
Boulder Soup Works is proud to use fresh local ingredients, whenever possible, because it’s the right thing to do. We believe in farm-to-table practices and we support small farms because it translates into less waste and energy being used for transportation and storage. Even better, locally based agriculture promotes more family farming and strengthens the bond between food, health and local economies.
People have a variety of dietary preferences and constraints, so all of our soup is gluten-free, with vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free options. Learn more about Celiac Disease and live a gluten-free diet by visiting www.csaceliacs.org.
Our soup containers are reusable and fully recyclable. We use them to store leftovers at home! They are made with #5 Polypropylene, which is a non-leaching, non-BPA, non-Phthalate containing plastic. Using #5PP allows us to have much thinner, lighter walls – resulting in less plastic and lower energy consumption for transportation.

Soup is truly a simple food. Something that speaks to home and always brings our families around the hearth. It has a way of bringing people together and speaking to the soul as much as it does to the tummy. It is also one of the most ubiquitous foods on earth with every culture passing down its own unique recipe.
And yet, in the race to mass produce soup through canning and plastic asceptic packaging, we seem to have lost something in its fresh simplicity. We need your help in bringing real soup back to the world. Join us on Facebook, invite your friends and help us share the word that fresh and healthy soup is back!
